About AACE Pittsburgh
Serving the Pittsburgh Region’s Total Cost Management Community.
With 8,500 members in 100 countries, AACE International has been serving the total cost management community since 1956.
We are committed to the constructive exchange of ideas between members, development of technical guidance and quality education and recognition of subject matter experts. Our members work in a variety of disciplines and across all industries.
For over 40 years AACE has been certifying individuals. We offer the following certifications: Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Cost Technician (CCT), Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC), Earned Value Professional (EVP), Decision and Risk Management Professional (DRMP), Certified Scheduling Technician (CST) and Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP). AACE’s CCP, CCT, CEP, EVP, and PSP certifications are independently accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards.
Pittsburgh Section has Earned the Gold Award at 2019 Conference & Expo in New Orleans
2019 marks the third consecutive year that the AACE Pittsburgh Section has received a Gold Award. AACE Sections are recognized annually for their performance based on the Section Scorecard Reports.

The members of AACE enable organizations around the world to achieve their investment expectations by managing and controlling projects, programs, and portfolios; we create value by advancing technical knowledge and professional development.
Our vision is to be the recognized technical authority in cost and schedule management for programs, projects, products, assets, and services.
AACE INTERNATIONAL’S OBJECTIVES
To promote through education and scientific means, cost management and cost engineering for the public good.
To advance the science and art of cost management and cost engineering.
To provide forums and media through which experience with the principles and techniques of cost management and cost engineering may be reported, discussed, and published in furtherance of the public interest.
To promote standardization of terminology in cost management and cost engineering, and so far as practical, develop standard methods.
To encourage the inclusion of cost engineering and cost management instruction in engineering curricula in furtherance of our primary objective.
To cooperate with other organizations having common or related objectives, in furtherance of the public interest.
To be organized and function exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations.
To evaluate and issue specialty certification credentials to individuals having expertise in cost management and cost engineering.
